Leanne Dearlove | Colin Biggers & Paisley

Colin Biggers & Paisley has promoted Leanne Dearlove to Partner within its employment and safety team and insurance group.

Her appointment is effective 1 January 2026.

Leanne’s practice focuses on assisting employers with a wide range of employment-related issues, including restructures, performance management and absences. 

She represents employers in litigation relating to unfair dismissals, general protections, stop bullying applications and assists clients with child protection issues. Leanne works with insurers and their insureds, to resolve or defend claims arising under employment practices liability policies.

Leanne has developed a strong client base and experience across the education, aged and in-home care, faith-based and not-for-profit sectors. She has also built a growing portfolio of Queensland local government clients.

Managing Partner Colin Biggers & Paisley Andrew Murray said as the firm celebrated its 125th anniversary, the promotions, including Emily Panizza in Sydney, reflected the continued growth and commitment to supporting and developing talented lawyers delivering excellent legal services to clients.

“Leanne and Emily are to be congratulated on their significant contributions to our practice and to their respective sectors of focus across employment and safety and insurance,” he said.

This announcement follows the recent Brisbane appointments of Matthew Giles as Partner (Employment and safety), and Senior Associates Mark Hogg (Property and development) and Justin Langusch (Insurance).
