A new practice and procedure update has been published regarding Applications for Review of Registrar decisions in family law, filed after close of filing on 10 December 2025.
An Application for Review filed on or after 10 December 2025 may not be able to be heard before the Courts reopen after the Christmas closure period on Tuesday, 6 January 2026.
Hearing dates will be allocated having regard to urgency considerations so some applications for Review filed close to the Christmas closure are likely to be heard in mid to late January 2026.
