The Supreme Court of Queensland has issued Practice Direction Number 1 of 2026 – Approval of website for publication of Notice Under Section 135 of the Trusts Act 2025.
Section 135 of the Trusts Act 2025 (Qld) provides for a trustee who intends to distribute trust property to give notice of that intention in certain ways.
By this Practice Direction, the Chief Justice gives notice that the Public Notices section of the Queensland Reports website (https://www.queenslandreports.com.au/public notice) is approved for the purposes of s 135(3)(b) of the Trusts Act 2025.
