Regional lawyers will have a chance to gather, learn and support each other at a professional development day in Toowoomba next month.
The Downs and South West Queensland Law Association is offering Protect Your Practice, Support Your People event on 17 July for practitioners across Toowoomba, Warwick, Roma and the region.
The CPD event will include topics such as ethics and professional responsibility, understanding vicarious trauma in legal practice, mental health first aid and psychosocial risk management.
It will explore the growing obligations on employers under Queensland’s Managing the Risk of Psychosocial Hazards at Work Code of Practice, and the practical steps firms can take to support psychologically healthy workplaces.
It will be held on Friday, 17 July, from 8.45am to 5pm, at Hede Byrne & Hall Lawyers, 126 Russell Street, Toowoomba.
