National Legal Aid training tackles coercive control

New training from National Legal Aid is aiming to equip all lawyers with the skills to recognise and respond to coercive control.

Understanding Coercive Control when Providing Legal Assistance will be launched online on Tuesday, 23 June, with practitioners invited to attend to learn about the training and the impact of a co-ordinated, sector-wide response to coercive control.

Funded by the Commonwealth Government, the training content was developed by Women’s Legal Service Australia and First Nations Advocates Against Family Violence in a partnership with Women’s Legal Service Australia and National Legal Aid.

The launch will run from 2pm to 3pm via Zoom. Register here.
