AI symposium to launch practice note

The Federal Court of Australia will hold an AI Symposium this month to mark the launch of the Court’s Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence Practice Note (GPN-AI).

The livestreamed event on Wednesday, 19 August, will explore the opportunities and challenges presented by generative artificial intelligence.

It will bring together leaders from the judiciary, legal profession and academia, with speakers to include Chief Justice Debra Mortimer and Law Council of Australia President Tania Wolff.

The Sydney symposium will be livestreamed from 5pm to 6.30pm via the Court’s YouTube channel, and broadcast in ceremonial courts across Federal Court registries.
