Voluntary Assisted Dying laws will be put under the spotlight at a free seminar in Brisbane next week.
The Early Experience of Voluntary Assisted Dying in Queensland: What Have We Learned? will be presented as part of this year’s Current Legal Issues seminar series, a program of the Bar Association of Queensland, the Supreme Court Library Queensland and QUT.
Professor Ben White, from QUT’s Australian Centre for Health Law Research, will present, with commentator the Honourable Peter Applegarth AM KC, and chair the Honourable Justice David Boddice, Queensland Court of Appeal.
The in-person-only seminar will be held on Thursday, 20 August, from 5.15pm to 6.45pm in the Banco Court, Level 3, Supreme Court of Queensland, Queen Elizabeth II Courts of Law.
Registration is from 5pm. The event will be followed by drinks in the Gallery, outside the Banco Court.
