On 30 July 2026, the Executive Committee of the Council of the Queensland Law Society Incorporated (“the Society”) passed resolutions to appoint officers of the Society, jointly and severally, as the receiver for the law practice, GTC Legal Pty Ltd T/A GTC Lawyers.
The appointment relates only to dealings with trust money. The Society will organise the payment of trust money to clients or entitled beneficiaries. It will not retrieve any other regulated property but will try to help in respect of same.
