QLS Council election just weeks away

The Queensland Law Society Council 2025 election is fast approaching with nominations, campaigning and voting taking place from 8 September to 13 October.

As a Council Member, practitioners play a pivotal role in leading QLS to help achieve strategic objectives and goals.

Nominations will open on Monday, 8 September, and only QLS full members on the Roll of Electors on that date are eligible to stand for election, vote and nominate candidates.

To be included on the roll, practitioners need to ensure they are full members before Friday, 29 August, and that contact details, especially email address, mobile number and address are up to date.

The Society encourages practitioners from all around the state and all practice areas and PAEs to nominate and vote in this year’s election.
