In 2024, Queensland Law Society members identified the impact of artificial intelligence as one of the top issues facing practitioners in the member survey.
New technology has continued to leap ahead since then, and the 2026 QLS Member Survey will help inform efforts in the years ahead.
QLS CEO Matt Dunn said feedback on members’ concerns and needs would shape the Society’s strategic direction.
“The profession continues to face rapid change as AI creates opportunities and challenges,” Mr Dunn said.
“Having input from our members on this issue and other areas helps form us a snapshot of the profession and where the Society can best support and represent Queensland solicitors appropriately.
“We are grateful for the input in 2024 and would like to check back in to see what has changed, especially with seller disclosure and AML/CTF obligations impacting the profession.”
In this survey, QLS is seeking views on:
- How it can enhance the value of QLS membership;
- The products, services and support most valued;
- Experiences when engaging with QLS;
- Emerging issues affecting the profession.
The survey should take about 10 minutes to complete and will remain open until 30 September 2026.
