Brisbane firm Michael Lynch Family Lawyers has welcomed Alecia Featherstone as Head of Family Law.
Ms Featherstone has practised exclusively in family law since 2011 and brings extensive experience across all areas of the discipline, including complex parenting and property matters, financial agreements, divorce and separation, and dispute resolution.
Her background gives her a strong understanding of both the legal and human aspects of family law.
Before becoming a lawyer, Ms Featherstone worked in early childhood education, including as a childcare centre director, and holds a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) and a Diploma in Children’s Services. This combination of experience has shaped the way she works with families, giving her an appreciation of child development, family dynamics and the impact that separation and conflict can have on children.
Ms Featherstone is also an accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner and committed to helping families resolve matters outside the court system wherever it is safe and appropriate.
