Meet Michael Bidwell

Michael is an environment and planning solicitor at Herbert Smith Freehills. His mantra is for everyone to “live out loud”. As an openly gay lawyer, he co-founded McCullough Robertson’s LGBTQ+ initiative, colour. He is a member of Herbert Smith Freehills’ Diversity Committee and is co-chair of the IRIS Committee. He also sits as the Vice President for Pride in Law, Australia’s first LGBTQ+ and ally legal networking association.
