There is a generational shift in the legal profession and the needs of this emerging group are unique. In recognition of this, QLS in its role as the peak professional membership body for Queensland solicitors has appointed a Relationship Manager – Future Lawyers, Future Leaders (that’s me!) to specifically support students, early career lawyers and future leaders of the legal profession.
The purpose of this newsletter is to provide you, as a member of this segment, pertinent information as it relates to you and this stage of your career. Each article, each event has been highlighted particularly for you.
As the New Year (and decade) begins, I’d like you to turn your mind to three questions:
- What do you intend to accomplish (this year/this decade)?
- How will you achieve these goals?
- What do you need to succeed?
For me, this year is about advocating on behalf of you, our future lawyers and future leaders. So I encourage, rather urge you to share your journeys and responses with me at s.deo@qls.com.au regardless of age or career stage. You have a voice and I’d like to hear your story, your struggles and your successes.
This year will bring more changes, but the underlying constant will remain: our dedication to good law, good lawyers and public good.
