Federal courts in Queensland will not be included in the national introduction of a QR code system and manual registers to record public attendance in Federal court buildings.
A spokesperson for the Federal Court, Family Court and Federal Circuit Court said the QR code systems chosen were those operated by the state and territory governments, to ensure privacy concerns were addressed.
However, while the voluntary scheme would operate in every state and territory, Queensland did not currently operate a government-managed QR code system and would not be included.
