Queensland’s legal system and community quickly embedded itself in the far northern community of Cairns.
Purpose-built courthouses were quickly established and judicial officers and legal professionals arrived by steamship and carriage at least two times a year for court.
The latest legal heritage display at Supreme Court Library Queensland celebrates the achievements of these legal pioneers.
