Updated electronic conveyancing rules published

Version 6 of the Queensland Operating Requirements and Queensland Participation Rules for electronic conveyancing have been published and will take effect from 12 April 2021.

The documents are available from the electronic conveyancing webpage.

The Queensland Operating Requirements and Queensland Participation Rules are based on the Model Participation Rules (MPR) and Model Operating Requirements (MOR) published by the Australian Registrars’ National Electronic Conveyancing Council (ARNECC).

Marked up versions showing changes to the MOR and MPR, together with the associated consultation draft 6.1 feedback tables, are available on the ARNECC website.

Updates to the MPR and MOR Guidance Notes are being drafted by ARNECC and are expected to be released in April.

Customers are reminded that from 12 April 2021 they will need to use version 6 of the Client Authorisation form (see Schedule 4 of the Participation Rules). The updated Client Authorisation will be available as a separate form on the ARNECC website from 12 April 2021.
