Women Lawyers Association Queensland (WLAQ) has put out a call for nominations for its 2022 List of Women Who Have Inspired – known colloquially as the ‘Inspo List’.
Each year the WLAQ releases its annual Inspo List to coincide with International Women’s Day.
The theme for International Women’s Day 2022 – on Tuesday 8 March – is #BreakTheBias.
This year, WLAQ is making changes to the way the list is compiled, based on feedback from members. WLAQ has issued social media posts saying it would like to hear from members regarding who they would like included on this year’s list.
The message from WLAQ reads: “The focus for the WLAQ committee in 2022 is to address the problem of exhaustion experienced by women in the law and unite for a stronger, sustainable and diverse legal profession.
“So, we would like you to focus your nominations on women who are lawyers from Queensland or practising in Queensland who have supported you during the challenges of the past twelve months – people who inspire you to lead a fulfilling career in the law while encouraging you to be the best version of yourself.”
Entries must be submitted to secretary@wlaq.com.au by close of business on Friday and include the nominee’s name, position, organisation and short quote about what they have done to support the nominator during 2021.
