Panel to celebrate eProbate anniversary

An online panel will celebrate the anniversary of Victoria’s Justice Legislation Amendment (System Enhancements and Other Matters) Act 2021 (Justice Act), along with 12 months of eProbate in Queensland on 26 April.

The Electronic Wills and Online Witnessing Committee (EWOWC) will host the event, which begins at 5pm and features a panel that includes:

  • Judge My Anh Tran, Judge in Charge of the Family Property List, County Court of Victoria, who will discuss the impact of the Justice Act on the County Court of Victoria over the preceding 12 months
  • Megan King, Principal Solicitor | Seniors Law, Justice Connect, who will discuss her experiences with seniors’ use of esigning – the good and the bad and everything in between
  • Darren Davies, Director, Strategy & Support, Court Services Queensland, who will discuss the experience of eProbate in Queensland with a view to what comes next.

The event will be moderated by EWOWC Chair Carol Grimshaw and is sponsored by Peer Legal.
