Passing of Magistrate Graham Lee

Chief Magistrate Terry Gardiner has advised of the passing of Magistrate Graham Lee yesterday.

He said that Magistrate Lee passed away peacefully with his family by his side after a short illness.

“Graham was appointed a Magistrate in 2006 and presided at Toowoomba, but had spent time throughout his career sitting in Southport, Brisbane and Warwick,” Chief Magistrate Gardiner said.

“Graham was a highly respected and much admired Magistrate. He was an outstanding lawyer and thoroughly decent man.

“Graham had been a Coroner and at the time of his death was the co-ordinator at Toowoomba.

“Graham will be greatly missed.”

Queensland Law Society President Kara Thomson expressed her sympathy on behalf of Queensland solicitors.

“Our thoughts are with his family and the profession within the Toowoomba region,” she said.

Funeral arrangements are to be advised.
