A ceremony to welcome newly appointed Magistrate Carol Lee and Magistrate John Milburn, and to acknowledge the appointment of Deputy State Coroner Stephanie Gallagher, will be held this Friday 27 May.
The ceremony is scheduled for 2.30pm at the Brisbane Magistrates Court, 363 George St, Brisbane. A video link will be advised if available.
Another ceremony on Tuesday 31 May will welcome Justice Debra Mullins AO as President of the Court of Appeal and Justice Jean Dalton as a Judge of Appeal.
The 9.15am ceremony will be held at the Banco Court, QEII Court Complex, George St, Brisbane, with a video link to be advised if available.
Queensland Law Society Vice President Chloe Kopilovic will deliver an address on behalf of the solicitors of Queensland at the Magistrates Court ceremony, while President Kara Thomson will deliver an address at the Banco Court ceremony.
