The premier professional development event for succession practitioners in Queensland will be held in Brisbane next week.
The Queensland Law Society’s annual Succession and Elder Law Conference next Friday, 22 August, will offer more than 20 presenters across two streams.

District Court Judge Bernard Porter KC will deliver the keynote address to open the conference, and the Honourable Margaret McMurdo AC will chair the Questions on Notice session to round out the full-day event at the Pullman Brisbane King George Square.
Session topics will include capacity frameworks, drafting testamentary trusts, the role of the Independent Administrator, and legislation updates.
The conference, worth seven CPD points, will be in-person only, and run from 8am to 5pm. It will be followed by networking drinks and canapes.
