Samantha Betzien (disputes and investigations – employment and safety) and David Rountree (corporate – technology, media and telecommunications) have been promoted to Partner.

Samantha has extensive experience in employment law and workplace health and safety, including compliance and risk management strategies, managing coronial inquests, investigations and prosecutions. She advises on front-end and litigious employment matters, with a particular focus on complex and sensitive workplace issues.

David Rountree
David Rountree

David has significant experience in major technology and outsourcing procurement deals, including commercial deals for media and technology, regulatory and corporate governance work and technology and transition arrangements. He has also advised companies seeking to leverage blockchain and distributed ledger technology within businesses.

Corin Morcom (disputes and investigations – restructuring and insolvency) and Joseph O’Shea (disputes and investigations – commercial disputes) have been promoted to Managing Associate.

Corin advises large corporate clients and government on complex commercial and insolvency disputes, with a focus on the resources, construction and infrastructure sectors. She also works with clients on ESG and risk and compliance concerns, particularly in relation to investigations and regulatory actions.

Joseph O'Shea
Joseph O’Shea

Joseph acts in complex commercial disputes on behalf of Australian and global companies, and has particular experience in construction, resources, infrastructure and engineering disputes. He has also provided advice on the administration of major projects, including management of construction claims.
