Gilshenan & Luton has announced three staff promotions.
Rachel Tierney and Claire McGee have been promoted to Senior Associate.
Rachel Tierney
Rachel represents clients in a variety of criminal matters, including sexual offences and misconduct-related charges. A significant portion of Rachel’s work is in the domestic violence jurisdiction, where she routinely appears for clients in domestic violence applications and related criminal charges. She also acts for clients in child protection matters, disciplinary matters and coronial inquests.
Claire McGee
Claire acts for clients in a range of criminal and regulatory matters, with particular experience in assisting health professionals in criminal, disciplinary, and employment matters. She also has significant experience representing public servants, solicitors, and teachers in occupational discipline matters, including appearing in hearings before QCAT and the QIRC.
Harold Rafter has been promoted to Associate.
Harold Rafter
Harold started at the firm in 2021. Prior to joining Gilshenan & Luton, Harold practised in a workplace team at a commercial firm, acting for employers in employment litigation and safety prosecutions. Harold acts in a range of criminal and professional misconduct matters. He also continues to act for individuals in relation to employment and disciplinary matters.
