The Queensland Law Society Council resolved on 24 June to accept the resignation of Councillor Rebecca Pezzutti from Council after 2½ years’ service.
Councillor Pezzutti has been an active Council member contributing on a number of Council sub-committees and representing Council at many events. She has contributed to the profession over many years as a Councillor, as a member of the QLS Industrial Law Committee, and as a former President of the Fraser Coast District Law Association.
Councillor Pezzutti’s resignation creates a vacancy on Council and on 12 July a formal notice will be sent to full members, in accordance with the Legal Profession (Society) Rules 2007, setting out the next steps to fill the vacancy.
