Hamilton Locke has announced some recent movements and staff additions to its Queensland-based partnership group.
Fran Becker has been promoted to Partner.
Fran Becker
Fran is an agribusiness and private client lawyer and advises many privately owned businesses, families and high net worth individuals. She has extensive experience in succession and business transition planning, complex estate planning, structuring and asset protection, and commercial, business and rural property transactions.
Sophie Bradshaw has been appointed to Partner within the firm’s technology and intellectual property team.
Sophie Bradshaw
Sophie brings with her more than 20 years’ experience in technology, intellectual property and privacy law. She advises clients on strategic technology procurement and transformation projects, data-driven transactions, commercialisation of intellectual property, and on privacy and cyber security related matters.
Hamilton Locke has also announced the appointment of Douglas Bates to Partner, within the firm’s private client team.
Douglas Bates
Douglas has more than 35 years’ experience across legal, agribusiness and financial services. His career in law has included 18 years as a barrister in Queensland, and solicitor roles with Clayton Utz in Brisbane and Simmons & Simmons in London. Douglas is also a non-executive director of FIIG Securities.
