A-G seeks AAT President, members

The federal Attorney-General, Mark Dreyfus KC, is seeking applications for appointment as President of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.

The AAT President must be a judge of the Federal Court of Australia, so candidates will need to be either an existing judge of the Federal Court or be suitable for appointment as a judge of the Federal Court.

The Attorney has also advised that the Government intends to appoint 75 additional members of the AAT for up to two years in order to address the current backlog of cases.

Applications should be submitted online by Wednesday 8 March. More information.
