Queensland Treasurer Cameron Dick has asked the Motor Accident Insurance Corporation (MAIC) to review the state’s CTP insurance scheme to identify opportunities to improve its sustainability.
The review will not consider any changes to the scheme’s premium setting process or compensation benefits for people who are injured.
As part of the review, MAIC has released a discussion paper seeking feedback on the CTP scheme from key industry stakeholders and the wider community.
Queensland’s CTP insurance scheme was last reviewed in 2016. Submissions on the current review will close at 5pm on Friday 21 April.
