Climate change is on the agenda at the joint Law Council of Australia, Queensland Law Society and Townsville District Law Association CPD seminar in Townsville on 8 September.
LCA President Luke Murphy will welcome attendees to the one-day event at midday before a range of speakers including climate change and environmental planning law specialist Dr Leonie Kelleher.
Dr Kelleher has made legal history through her involvement with test cases in the High Court, Federal Courts, Supreme Courts and one of the last Privy Council cases.
Other sessions will cover class action law and practice, insolvency reform, signatures, dispute resolution and family law matters.
Attendees are eligible to claim 0.5 CPD points for each session. Suggested CPD categories are listed within the program. The event will consist of eight 30-minute sessions and conclude with a one-hour
post-event refreshments and networking.
Registrations close on 1 September. The seminar is an in-person only event however on-demand recordings will be made available in the future.
