New lawyers across Queensland

Barton Family Lawyers

Shania Trecia Fernandes was admitted to the legal profession on 11 September 2023.

She was employed as a paralegal at Barton Family Lawyers and will be practising as a solicitor at Barton Family Lawyers following her admission.

Shania graduated with a Bachelor of Business (majoring in International Business) with Distinction Laws (Honours) (Class IIA) in July 2022. She completed my Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice with the College of Law in June 2023.

Brisbane Family Law Centre

Kara Batchelor was admitted as a legal practitioner on 11 September 2023 by the Supreme Court of Queensland.

Since November 2021, Kara has worked at Brisbane Family Law Centre in administrative and legal assistant roles.

Since her recent admission, she is stepping into her new role as a collaborative family lawyer at the firm.

Kara has been passionate about working in family law since the beginning of university and is excited by the opportunity to be able to contribute to the legal profession.

MBA Lawyers

Jameson Smith was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland on 11 September.

Jameson began his education globally, starting his secondary education in the United States and Saudi Arabia, before completing his secondary education in Brisbane.

He holds a Dual Degree in Law and Business from Griffith University. Jameson is employed as a lawyer at MBA Lawyers, specialising in corporate, commercial and property with an interest in mergers and acquisitions.

Townsville Admissions

Admitted in Townsville on September 8 were: Kerstin Hurle, Alexander Finn, Janai Tasselli and Tarnia Johnston.

Rockhampton Admission

Admitted in Rockhampton on September 15 was Oscar Millroy.

Cairns Admissions

Admitted in Cairns on September 15 were: Mary Larson, Katja Griesbach, Tylah Ekelund, Kes Spannenburg, Miad Jamali, and Tallulah Magoffin.
