The Professional Conduct Committee of Council requires new members to start in February 2024.
The committee reviews the work of the Society’s Trust Account Investigations Unit in line with the Society’s Part 3.3 policy and makes recommendations about what further action should be taken.
The policy can be viewed at https://www.qls.com.au/Practising-law-in-Qld/Trust-accounts/Part-3-3-Investigations and the committee’s charter at https://www.qls.com.au/About_QLS/Council/Council_charters.
The committee consists of members of council and other members of the profession. It meets every six weeks with morning meetings of about 60 minutes. The material required to be considered is rarely less than 150 pages.
Interested practitioners should submit an expression of interest and a short CV, on or before 29 September 2023, by email to m.drinkall@qls.com.au
