New Managing Principals announced

McInnes Wilson Lawyers will introduce a new executive leadership team in 2024 as the national firm approaches its 50th anniversary.

Chairman and Managing Principal Paul Tully announced this week that Allison Langford and Mark Woolley will jointly take on the role of Managing Principal from 1 January 2024.

For more than 25 years, Allison has specialised in insurance law and litigation. In recognition of her experience in insurance, health, and medical law, she was appointed as a solicitor member of the Royal Brisbane and Royal Women’s District Health Council from 2001 to 2004.

Mark has been a Principal in the Commercial division, focusing on agri-business, franchising, government and sports law. He serves as the Chairman of Small Steps 4 Hannah, is a Director and board member of the Brain Injury Foundation, the Director of the Ash Barty Foundation, and holds the position of Queensland Regional Council President for RedKite.

Glenn Caligaris will take on the role as National Chairman of Principals. He was recognised for 25 years of Queensland Law Society membership last week. He began his career at Baker Gosling in Brisbane in 1996 and was admitted as a solicitor in February 1998.

Glenn joined McInnes Wilson Lawyers in 2006, as Partner of the firm’s disputes and insolvency team and then as principal from 2009, when the practice became incorporated. He is currently the National Head of the McInnes Wilson’s Commonwealth Government Practice and National Head of McInnes Wilson’s Dispute & Insolvency Division.

Paul will remain with the firm and transition to a specialist consulting, mentoring and relationship role.

He joined the firm as an Articled Clerk in 1985 and was admitted to the partnership of McInnes Wilson Lawyers in May 1989.

Allison said: “I speak for all principals, employees, and clients in thanking Paul Tully for over 25 years of leadership, expertise, and commitment to serving clients, the firm and our people”.  

The leadership team will be supported by McInnes Wilson Lawyers’ existing management team, including newly appointed COO Cathy Reynolds, in managing its team across six locations nationally including Brisbane and Maroochydore.
