Dentons has welcomed its second partner for 2024, with the addition of Employment Partner, Edmund Burke to its Brisbane office.
Edmund is a workplace lawyer with experience in all aspects of employment law including employee misconduct investigations and professional misconduct defence.
Edmund also practises in workplace health and safety, having defended companies, individuals and local councils in proceedings against non-compliance with the Work Health and Safety Act and safety incidents resulting in injuries to employees.
Dentons Australia Region Chair and Australasia CEO Doug Stipanicev said he was delighted to welcome Edmund to the firm.
“Edmund Burke is a highly regarded employment lawyer, and adds significant strength to Dentons’ national employment and safety offering. Edmund’s appointment means Dentons has a dedicated employment offering in its Brisbane office, which is growing at a rapid pace,” he said.
Edmund is the second partner to join the Brisbane office in as many months.

Planning and Environment Partner Mitchell Osbourne joined the Brisbane office in October while IP & Technology Partner Michael Park started in Melbourne on the same day as Edmund.
