Committee seeking new members

Queensland Law Society (QLS) is seeking members who are interested in joining the QLS Human Rights and Public Law Committee.

The Human Rights and Public Law Committee’s objectives are to provide a forum for the Queensland legal profession to consider and review legislation and foreshadowed amendments from a human rights and social justice perspective, and initiate and respond to consultation with stakeholders on human rights and public law issues which are relevant.

QLS is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion, and encourages applications from members of the Society with diverse backgrounds, including people with a disability.

Members interested in joining the committee are encouraged to provide a brief email setting out their expression of interest and a copy of CV or professional profile (such as website or LinkedIn) setting out skills and expertise to policy@qls.com.au.

For further information about the role of our committees and of committee members, see the QLS Policy Committee Charter here. Past submissions are also available on the QLS website.

Please email policy@qls.com.au with any queries.
