WLSQ pays tribute to late colleague

Women’s Legal Service Queensland (WLSQ) has paid to tribute to lawyer and co-worker Deb Searles, whose life was honoured in a service on 12 March.

In a social media post, WLSQ said: “It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our long-term colleague and dear friend to Women’s Legal Service Queensland, Debra Searles.

“Deb joined WLSQ in 1991 and assisted women in her role as solicitor for 25 years until 2016.

“Her tireless pursuit of enhancing access to justice for women and children impacted by domestic violence has created an enduring legacy. Deb was kind, compassionate, humble and wise. WLSQ will continue to honour the magic of Deb.”
