CQ judges talk proves success

The inaugural What Judges in Central Queensland Want CPD session in Rockhampton was a success with more than 70 attendees at the Old Supreme Court Chambers on Friday night.

Central Queensland Law Association (CQLA) Young Lawyers Sub-committee and Queensland Young Lawyers event featured four Rockhampton resident judicial officers.

CQLA Young Lawyers Sub-committee Chairperson Kat Walker said the committee was “thrilled” with 74 attendees.

“CQLA Young Lawyers Sub-committee is very grateful to our local judiciary for answering our questions on What Judges in Central Queensland Want in their courtrooms from their advocates,” Kat said.

“We were lucky to hear from four Rockhampton resident judges including The Honourable Justice Crow, Justice of the Supreme Court of Queensland, His Honour Judge Clarke of the District Court, Her Honour Judge Demack of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, and Her Honour Magistrate Beckinsale.
