Mullins Lawyers has appointed Sam McIvor as Managing Partner, effective end of December 2024.
Sam McIvor
He will succeed Curt Schatz, who has led the firm for nearly a decade since 2015.
Curt will continue with the firm as a Senior Equity Partner. With an extensive practice in hospitality law, he is committed to advancing this area even further.
Curt said: “When I came to the managing partner role, my vision was to direct growth and succession, we have certainly achieved that. But I am not going anywhere and will now have more time for my clients and referrers without the managing partner role.
“It is a wonderful time to recognise the solid platform that now exists for the firm’s future, and I believe Sam’s leadership will drive the firm toward even greater success.”
He brings extensive experience and leadership to the firm, having served as an equity Partner and practice group leader with Mullins.
Sam said: “I am honoured to be called upon to lead the firm through its next phase of growth.
“It’s a very exciting period for the firm and I look forward to working collaboratively with Partners and staff to achieve our strategic objectives, including maintaining sustainable growth, delivering excellent client service and nurturing our next generation of leaders.”
