The Magistrates Court has issued Practice Directions 10 and 11 of 2024 which establish new callovers in the Brisbane Magistrates Court.
Practice Direction 10 establishes the “DNA Affected Case Callover” for cases affected in Brisbane and surrounding areas only.
Practice Direction 11 establishes the “Sexual Assault Case Callover” for the Brisbane Magistrates Court only.
The directions were issued by Acting Chief Magistrate Anthony Gett yesterday, and begin on 2 January, 2025.
