Queensland Law Society accredited mediators would be aware the Australian Mediator and Dispute Resolution Accreditation Standards (AMDRAS) will formally replace the National Mediator Accreditation System (NMAS) later this year.
From 1 July 2025, accredited mediators will be required to renew with a Recognised Accreditation Provider (RAP) under the AMDRAS framework.
QLS currently accredits mediators under NMAS as a Recognised Mediator Accreditation Body (RMAB).
QLS is in the process of transitioning and applying to the AMDRAS Board to be approved as a RAP to continue to accredit and renew mediators under the AMDRAS framework.
Members will receive further updates once the application process has been finalised.
Any queries should be directed to policy@qls.com.au.
