The Australian Institute of Criminology (AIC) is looking to recognise outstanding programs that make communities safer.
Nominations have opened for the 2025 Australian Crime and Violence Prevention Awards, which reward projects with gold, silver and bronze awards.
The projects, of any size, can be led by government or non-government agencies, or by individuals, and can address specific groups such as rural and remote communities; women and children; youth; migrants; and ethnic or indigenous communities; or specific problems such as alcohol-related violence.
Last year’s winners included the Queensland Department of Youth Justice’s Intensive Case Management Program, Griffith University’s Pathways to Prevention Project, and Queensland Police Service’s Repeat Offender Disruption Strategy.
Award nominations close on 17 April 2025. Apply or nominate here.
