The Australasian Institute of Judicial Administration has published a National Bench Book on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and the Legal System.
The resource is intended to help judicial officers and legal practitioners with decision-making, evidence, procedure, process, professionalism and legal practice in Federal Court matters.
It was developed in consultation with key stakeholders including indigenous legal professionals and community members, to emphasise critical evidence, issues, concerns and priorities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
