Senior Legal Counsel at QBE Aviation Enterprise Operations Shannon O’Hara was soaring after last year’s Queensland Law Society Excellence in Law Awards where she won the In-house Counsel of the Year Award.
And she is encouraging others in her field to nominate their peers for this year’s awards before nominations close on Monday, 19 May.
Shannon said the Awards Gala was a wonderful experience.
“Being nominated for the Queensland Law Society’s Excellence in Law Awards in 2024 was an incredible honour,” Shannon said.
“To think that one of my peers had given their time to actively pause, reflect and recognise my contributions, and professional achievements, was quite humbling and has certainly reinforced my commitment to excellence in both the legal profession and industry.
“It was also a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the success of other nominees and to learn more about the incredible contribution of other lawyers, advocates, and in-house counsel from across the state.”
Nominations, which opened on 4 May, will close on 19 May. The finalists will be announced on Monday, 30 June, for the annual gala and presentation on Saturday, 9 August.
