The Personal Injuries Proceedings Regulation 2025 has been made by the Governor-in-Council to start on 1 September 2025, replacing the Personal Injuries Proceedings Regulation 2014.
The changes include new notice of claim forms under the Personal Injuries Proceedings Act 2002.
The new forms should be used from 1 September 2025 and can be found on the Queensland Government Portal.
QLS has also been provided with comparison documents showing the changes between the old and new PIPA forms and a table showing how the question numbers on the new form compare with the old question numbers and align with the Regulation. Members can access those documents here.
Please note also that the new Civil Liability Regulation 2025 has also been published on the Queensland Legislation website and commences on 1 September 2025.
