The Supreme and District Courts have issued Practice Directions relating to the preparation, filing and hearing of bail applications, and also a process for non-parties to inspect documents.
Practice Direction 6 of 2025 commenced on 19 November and outlines the practice and procedure to be adopted for the preparation, filing and hearing of applications under the Bail Act 1980 (Qld) in the Supreme Court of Queensland at Brisbane.
Supreme Court Practice Direction 7 of 2025 and District Court Practice Direction 13 of 2025 facilitate the process for a person who is not a party to a proceeding to apply to the court for an order permitting inspection of documents filed in a civil proceeding.
