Double celebration for staff admissions

Grace Kelly will work in child protection law, providing in-house legal services to the Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety.

The Office of the Child and Family Official Solicitor (OCFOS) has celebrated two staff members being recently admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland.

Stephanie Paul was admitted in Cairns on 28 November 2025 and Grace Kelly was admitted in Brisbane on 17 November 2025.

Stephanie undertook her studies through Queensland University of Technology, completing her Bachelor of Laws (Honours) in March 2025 and her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice in September 2025.

Stephanie worked as a Litigation Support Officer with OCFOS during her studies, and has moved to a graduate legal officer role.

Stephanie Paul was one of nine new lawyers admitted in Cairns recently.

Grace completed her Bachelor of Laws (Honours) at Griffith University in October 2024, and her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice with Queensland University of Technology in September 2025.

She undertook the practical component of her GDLP with OCFOS, and started as a graduate legal officer the day after her admission.

Both Stephanie and Grace will practise in child protection law, providing in-house legal services to the Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety.

Lawyers were also recently admitted in the Townsville Supreme Court on 12 December before Justice North and Justice Johnstone. They were Sammi Cheadle, Andrew Calabro, Daniel Calabro, Tiana Spratling, Ellie Bracey and Madeline Gasparotto.

Townsville practitioners and members of the public also attended a ceremonial sitting for the exchange of Christmas Greetings before the admissions.
