CTP rehabilitation standards updated

Updated rehabilitation standards for CTP insurers have been published on the Motor Accident Insurance Commission website.

The updated standards took effect on 1 March 2026 and clarify timeframe requirements for rehabilitation requests received with the Notice of Accident Claim (NOAC) form, ensuring alignment with legislative requirements.

The changes in this update are:

• Rehabilitation standard D: Minor rephrasing of the explanatory sentence above the table for improved readability (page 11).
• Rehabilitation standard D, Criteria D1: Addition of a link to the MAIC Guideline for CTP insurers: Reasonable and appropriate rehabilitation and treatment (page 11).
• Rehabilitation standard E, Criteria E3: Clarification of timeframes for rehabilitation requests received with the NOAC rather than during the life of a claim (page 12).
• General updates: A refresh of the document and inclusion of document ID number.
