The Queensland Drug and Alcohol Court (QDAC) implemented a temporary closure of referrals last month due to the overwhelming support and increase of referrals.
The closure was reviewed today and referrals will remain closed at this time. The closure will be reviewed again on 17 April 2026.
The QDAC team is working to address the backlog of assessments and keep the closure period to a minimum.
There are alternative programs that can be referred to in the interim such as Court Link.
