The Far North Queensland Law Association’s favourite event of the year will provide glamour and fun in Cairns this month.
The annual Carbolic Smoke Ball will be held on Saturday, 20 June, at Whiskey & Wine in the Crystalbrook Flynn hotel.
Ball co-chair Emily Poole said the event gathered members of the profession, the judiciary and the broader legal community to celebrate collegiality, professionalism and the strength of the region’s legal network.
“One of the strengths of the Far North Queensland legal profession is the collegiality that exists across the region, and the Carbolic Smoke Ball is a wonderful reflection of that spirit,” Ms Poole said.
“The continued success of the ball demonstrates the strong support for a vibrant and connected legal profession in Far North Queensland.”
The fundraiser for the association will include a five-hour drinks package, live entertainment, canapes and a photo booth.
