The Federal Court’s National Practice Area (NPA) Seminar Series will continue on Monday, 6 July, with a session on Just and Proper Ascertainment of Native Title Rights and Interests.
Justices Katrina Banks-Smith and Michael O’Bryan will be joined by the Honourable Michael Barker KC, National Native Title Tribunal President Kevin Smith and Professor Kingsley Palmer for a discussion on the past, present and future of Australian Native Title law.
The seminar will be livestreamed from the Northern Territory registry and will include opening remarks by the Chief Justice.
Livestream viewing sessions will be held in each state registry. The session in Brisbane will be in Court 1, Level 7, from 4pm to 5pm. Any questions about the sessions can be emailed to FCA.50thAnniversary@fedcourt.gov.au.
