HopgoodGanim names two Partners in July round of promotions

HopgoodGanim Lawyers has announced 22 promotions, including two new Partners.

Effective 1 July, the firm has elevated 15 legal practitioners, naming two Partners, three Special Counsel, three Senior Associates and seven Associates.

Among those promoted are newly appointed Partners Sarah Judge (private enterprise) and Damon Hatchett (family and relationships) who have both been recognised for their outstanding leadership and expertise in their respective areas of practice.

Ms Judge joined HopgoodGanim as a law graduate in 2017, having also completed a vacation clerkship with the firm in 2015, and has since built a reputation for providing leading advice across corporate and commercial matters.

“Sarah’s progression from vacation clerk to Partner is a testament to her unwavering drive and leadership she has built both across the firm and with clients. She embodies HopgoodGanim’s dedication to excellence and the collaborative, high-performing culture we are proud of,” Managing Partner Luke Mountford said.

Mr Hatchett joined the firm as a solicitor in 2020 and has shown immense commitment navigating complex family law matters.

“Damon consistently showcases technical excellence, integrity and a genuine commitment to achieving the best outcomes possible. His promotion to Partner reflects both his impact on his clients and contribution to the firm,” Partner (family and relationships practice) Geoff Wilson said.

Both Partner appointments underscore HopgoodGanim’s investment in developing talent and accelerating career progression, supporting our people from the earliest stages of their careers, through to partnership.

In addition to legal promotions, the firm also celebrated the advancement of two legal support team members and five legal operations professionals.

“This year’s promotions speak to the exceptional calibre of our team and reinforce the depth of leadership we are building for the future. Their success reflects our continued focus on developing the next generation of leaders at HopgoodGanim and we look forward to supporting their ongoing achievements,” Mr Mountford said.
