Sunshine Coast firm Pippa Colman Family Law has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Jessica Popple as a Director.

As Pippa Colman Family Law celebrates 25 years of supporting Queensland families, Ms Popple’s appointment as the fourth Director marks another significant milestone in the firm’s history.

Together with the opening of its Townsville office earlier this year, it reflects the firm’s ongoing growth and commitment to investing in people.

Since joining Pippa Colman Family Law in 2020, Ms Popple has become an integral member of the firm, recognised not only for her legal expertise and trusted client relationships, but also for her leadership, mentorship and contribution to the firm’s continued success.

She is recognised for her expertise across complex parenting, property and relationship matters, and for her compassionate, practical approach.

Her appointment follows significant professional achievements. In 2022, she was named Queensland Emergent Woman Lawyer of the Year and was recognised in Doyle’s Guide as a Family Law Rising Star from 2021 to 2025.

In 2025 was awarded the University of the Sunshine Coast Alumnus of the Year – Rising Star, and in 2026, she was recognised as a Recommended Family Lawyer – Sunshine Coast.

Founder and Director Pippa Colman said Ms Popple’s appointment reflected both her outstanding contribution to the firm and its commitment to building a strong leadership team for the future.

Founder and Director Pippa Colman thanked Jessica for her contribution to the firm.

“Watching Jessica grow as both a lawyer and a leader over the past five years has been incredibly rewarding,” Ms Colman said.

“She is an exceptional advocate for her clients, an outstanding mentor to our team and someone who leads with integrity every day.

“As our firm continues to grow, I couldn’t think of anyone more deserving of joining our leadership team. Jessica’s appointment reflects the strength of our people and our commitment to continuing to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients and community.”

Jessica has contributed to the local legal community as Sunshine Coast Law Association President.

Ms Popple said she was honoured to join the firm’s leadership team and excited to help shape the next chapter of Pippa Colman Family Law.

“It is an incredible privilege to become a Director of a firm that has played such an important role in my professional journey,” she said.

“Since joining Pippa Colman Family Law, I have had the opportunity to work alongside an exceptional team that is genuinely committed to supporting clients with empathy, integrity and excellence.

“I look forward to continuing to build on the firm’s strong reputation, mentoring the next generation of family lawyers and helping guide the firm’s continued growth, while remaining focused on achieving the very best outcomes for our clients.”

Beyond her legal practice, Ms Popple is committed to giving back to the community. She has served as President of the Sunshine Coast Law Association, been a board member of Suncoast Community Legal Service, Sunshine Coast Sports and Mingary Care (formerly Sunshine Hospice), and is Secretary of the Hinterland Blues AFL Club.
